OFFICER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE Ian McCubbin, son of John and Elizabeth McCubbin, Penpont, Dumfriesshire has been awarded Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to the pharmaceutical industry. Ian was formerly Senior Vice President GlaxoSmithKline Chairman,Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership. A pharmacist,Ian was educated at Wallace Hall Academy and Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.
